Measuring Up
Today was a very busy and social day for me and Sophie. We started with a fun My-Gym class. Sophie decided that her yellow and blue measuring cups would tag along today for every activity. Here is Sophie, Emily and blue measuring cup catching air on the trampoline.
At playgroup today, Teddy, showed Sophie his really cool garage that he received for christmas. Sophie really loved playing with all of the cars and of course, her boy Teddy. Her measuring cups waited patiently in the stroller.
Christmas in Rockefeller Center
Every year before they take down the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center, we like to take a subway ride down to look at the "yights". Sophie was fascinated by the tree, and even more so by Minnie Mouse.
Minnie was randomly hanging out on the corner waving at the kids. Sophie was super-excited, so we stopped for a picture. Unfortunately, a police officer approached afterwards, and made Minnie do the perp-walk. Back to Disney she did go--with her tips!!

Heading Home-Saturday Jan. 2, 2010
Before heading home, Daddy took us on a brief tour of Boston, and Sophie really wanted to ride the choo-choo. Here they are riding the T to the public gardens.
Don't the gardens look beautiful covered in snow? Our first classic family shot of 2010.
We tried to visit with many of our friends and family while we were in town. We enjoyed our dinner with the Whelan family on friday night and were thrilled that Cousin Elisabeth was able to join us for brunch!
On the walk back from Brunch, Sophie discovered the moving stairs, commonly known as an escalator. She rode up and down the escalator twice, and laughed the whole time. Oh, the little things....
It was long drive through the snow back to NY. So, why not stop to visit with more cousins to remove the ants from our pants. Sophie LOVES her Zevvy and Nono.
At last, we are home and well rested. What a great trip!
Someone needs to do the laundry from the weekend. Thanks Sophie!
Winter Classic Fun- Friday, Jan. 1, 2010
While Sophie napped at the hotel, Josh and I went to the Winter Classic Hockey Game. It was amazing. Through a friend, we had Box seats sitting with the NHL Commissioner. Doesn't the green monster look bizarre with hockey stats?
I have been to Fenway twice so far. Once to see a Yankee vs. Red Sox game, and once to watch ice hockey. At least they paid proper tribute to the baseball stadium and of course, the pitchers mound!
Home team, Boston Bruins, win! My home-team streak contines!
The Scoreboard.
New Years Eve Day- Here we come Boston-Thursday, Dec.31 2009
We spent the New Year this year in Boston. Josh and I attended the Winter Classic Hockey Game at Fenway Park. We could see Fenway out of our hotel window and Sophie was excited that Mommy and Daddy were going to be by the lights. Can you see them?
After we were all settled we took a walk around Boston and stumbled upon a parade down Boylston Street. It was a lot of fun. All of the local Creative Arts groups were represented. Here is a woman's unicycle group.
It was cold, so we were snuggling to keep warm!
What would New Years be without one last classic family shot of 2009? Smile everyone!
Sophie's new favorite thing to do is....Cheers. How appropriate! Wishing everyone a happy, and healthy 2010!
After Sophie went to sleep, Josh and I rang in the New Year together. My favorite company!
Daddy's Home- Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009
We love when Josh is home and we get to play during the week! We all went out for lunch and Sophie kept giving Daddy hugs and kisses, because she was so happy he was not working!! It was really sweet.

When we got home from lunch, Savti stopped by in-between patients for a quick hello. Sophie loves to play with Savti even if it is only for an hour. She always finds a way to make Sophie belly laugh.
For Hanukkah, Sophie got a retro pink kitchen and pots, pans and a tea set. Now everyone drinks more tea than they knew they wanted. The clown seems to enjoy tea too!
